Game Night

On Saturday the 27th, 2016, I made an event with gaming! The residents and i have a passion for games and really enjoyed being together and learning tactics of Call of Duty. The event involved a projector that we used to shine on to the shades in the 4th floor lounge. We had a blast playing Call of Duty Black ops 2 online and eating pizza! The floor loved it and it seems like an event that we will put up again! It was very amazing and epic!

Black and Women’s History

On February 15th, 2016, the staff created a miniature boxes and walls. We put information on the black history month and women’s history month on the wall in the basement study room. It took a great deal of planning and hard work, but we finally created a timeline of the important moments in history of women and African-Americans. Their contributions are important to us and should not be forgotten. They  have shaped the world we live in today.

How to be a Better Person Bulletin Board

On February 19th, 2016, I put up a board on how to be a better person. The board shows ways of being respectful and courteous to others. For example, when walking by a person you should say hi. Keep your head up instead of looking at the ground so you can acknowledge the person you walk by. It’s a great way for people to understand simple ways to be respectful.

The Solar System Bulletin Board

On February 19th, 2016, I made a bulletin board on the solar system! The solar system is beautiful and amazing. It’s crazy to think how far planets are and how they got there. My goal on this board is to show information on the universe that includes the sun, comets, and the eight planets. It’s a blast and it’s really  neat to see the pictures of the planets on the board.

Basketball Night

On Friday the 12th, 2016, me and a group of my residents went to the Pioneer Activity Center. We played basketball all night! We had a blast and tried dunking the basketball except for me, because i’m too short. We played for 2 hours and put up lots of points. It was a really great time to hang out with them and to compete with and against them. We worked hard and were satisfied with our hard work. It was great.

One of the comedians names was Francis and the other Angela. They told us lots of jokes and funny moments of their lives. We had a great time together and laughed until it hurt.

Super Bowl Party

On February 7th, 2016, I hosted a Super Bowl party. The event was mainly to get the hall together to watch the game. Instead of watching the game alone, why not watch the game together! I had a Commercial Bingo game for people to play with too! The objective is to have 5 in a row commercials on your card to get a BINGO. If a person won, then they got to choose what prize they wanted. The prizes were Beef Jerky, Chocolate covered pretzels, heart shaped cookies, and m&m’s. We would start the Commercial Bingo right after the kick-off when it went to the games first commercial break. It was a blast.
